About Joanna Breslin
For eight years, I was the Wine Director of Ana Mandara, a Vietnamese restaurant in San Francisco.
Previously, I worked for many years selling wine for brokers and distributors.
Both of these occupations provided much opportunity for tasting
and learning about wines from all over the world. Knowing from both sides
of the table how competitive and labor-intensive the wine sales business
is, I thought that my colleagues who branched off to start their own
wine brokerage or distributorship were a little bit nuts.
Then I began to do some traveling. Though well-versed
in the wine regions of the world, I had not been to any of them outside
of the US. In the too-few trips abroad that I have made, I encountered
wonderful people making wonderful wines that I could not purchase when
I got home. So this is
why people start these crazy little fine wine marketing businesses, I
realized.
Bridge2Worlds is dedicated to offering boutique wines that are expressive
of the places where they are grown and made. The people behind them are
passionate about the choices they make in producing wines they feel are
representative of the character of these places.
